About the Fliphead

The Fliphead brand was founded by saxophone professional & multi instrumentalist Axel Müller from Mannheim, Germany.
Axel is a studied pop & jazz saxophonist based in Mannheim, Germany and is a well known touring and recording hired gun performing with popular acts like „BAP", the "Gregor Meyle Band" and Germany’s No1 music-TV-show „Sing my Song - das Tauschkonzert". Axel plays piccolo flute, transverse flute, alto flute, high / alto & low whistles, saxophone(s), clarinet(s), guitar(s), as well as Duduk and writes and records horn arrangements for pop acts such as Gregor Meyle, Milow, Michael Patrick Kelly, Sasha, Mark Forster, Christina Stürmer and many others.

MODERN MOUTHPIECE MATERIAL
Fliphead mouthpieces are precision machined in Austria. Each mouthpiece is a laser sintered high quality one piece design. The nylon PA-12 material has excellent sound and scratch proof characteristics and is 100% mucous membrane compatible.
Unlike resin, wood or hard rubber mouthpieces, Fliphead mouthpieces do not crack or break - even when falling on a hard surface. We offer a lifetime guarantee on our nylon mouthpieces in case customers should experience any trouble with breakage damage.
HANDMADE NECK & CUSTOM FITTING
The curved Fliphead neck is made of silver plated german nickel silver. Each neck is hand finished and custom fitted in our Flipheadquarter in Mannheim, Germany. Fliphead offers an individual fitting service for flutes with very slim or wide neck tenon diameters. We can custom fit the Fliphead neck to basically any C-flute model. Our resale partners Sweetwater and Thomann Music also offer a free inhouse custom fitting service.

Fliphead products are assembled and packed in and are shipped from Mannheim, Germany. Each Fliphead product is assembled, playtested, quality controlled by Axel himself.
